Product Description Builders running a Jeep LJ quickly realize the longer wheelbase Wrangler still suffers from the same vulnerable rear body corners as the TJ once the vehicle starts seeing serious trail use. Larger tires, increased suspension travel, and aggressive rock crawling can quickly damage the factory sheet metal around the rear corners and tailgate area. The longer LJ body gives builders additional cargo space and stability on the trail, but protecting the rear tub becomes increasingly important as builds become more aggressive. The Unlike traditional corner armor setups designed around the factory swing gate hinges, this version uses a solid rear passenger side panel specifically intended for builders running a drop down tailgate conversion. Removing the factory hinge cutouts creates a much cleaner appearance once the OEM swing gate hardware has been eliminated. Constructed from 3/16-inch A36 steel, these corners are built for real off-road abuse and trail-focused Jeep builds.
